Dell Precision 5520 i7 Design

There is not much change in the basic design of the Precision 5520 from the previous model. We must emphasize that this is not a bad thing. Because the latest XPS / Precision 5000 series designs are widely supported. In terms of the previous model, the Precision 5520 retains the 5510's very narrow bezels (referred to by Dell as the InfinityEdge display) to effectively fit a 15.6-inch touchscreen into the body of a typical 14-inch laptop.

Compared to Core processors, the Intel Core i7-7820HQ also supports ECC-RAM. In addition to four cores including 3-4 GHz Hyper-Threading support, the processor has also equipped with a professional HD Graphics P630 GPU.
The 28-nanometer Nvidia Quadro M1200 is a mid-range graphics card compatible with OpenGL for workstations. It is a Maxwell-based GPU (first generation) based on the GM107 chip with 640 shadow cores.
Therefore, the GPU is similar to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M. The Quadro M1200M is built for the Intel Skylake generation and replaces the Quadro M1000M (based on the 950M). The Quadro Series offers authentic drivers that are optimized for stability and performance in professional applications such as CAD or DCC. For example, OpenGL performs significantly better than GeForce graphics cards with similar specifications.

We have two USB 3.0 ports alongside a Thunderbolt 3 port (USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 2) as well as an additional option for HDMI video output. The Precision 5520 comes with optional security features such as integrated TPM, and vPro management technology.
